No, I’m not a western man marrying a Russian woman…I am a (woman) British citizen and my boyfriend is Russian. We will marry in my country and then move to Russia. However I am not so sure about the Visa or legal requirements for me to go back to Russia with him. If we marry outside Russia, do I still need a Visa or some other kind of document to live there? Or is our marriage not even recognised in Russia at all so it would not make a difference whether we are married or not before I move there with him?? Should I marry him in Russia at the ZAGS while I’m on a Tourist Visa instead? Or is that illegal?
